Power Across Texas sponsored the Texas Energy Primer Challenge in the 2010-2011 school year in partnership with predominant universities in Texas featuring interdisciplinary teams of students working to develop primers in key areas of energy policy.

Each primer addressed the following areas:

  • Technology
  • Economic and Financial Viability
  • Barriers to Entry and Growth 

The topic areas for the Texas Energy Primer Challenge explored key energy policy topics that Texas and the United States will be addressing this decade. The topic areas were:

Smart Grids
Solar Energy
Geothermal Energy
Energy Storage
