We’re pleased to publicly release the first of three primers from our Texas Energy Primer Challenge!  Our third place team researched and wrote the primer: ”The Smart Grid in Texas”.  Click here to view or download.

The team was led by University of Texas – Austin graduate students Melissa Lott, Tylor Seaman, Charles Upshaw, and University of Texas – Arlington graduate student Ehab Gondi Kartan Haron.  The students were supported by faculty mentors Dr. Michael E. Webber (The University of Texas at Austin), Dr. John C. Butler (The University of Texas at Austin), and Dr. Wei-Jen Lee (The University of Texas at Arlington).  In addition, the primer was co-sponsored by Oncor and Power Across Texas, and the students won a $1,000 scholarship.

The primer was originally presented to a panel of judges in January at our annual board meeting.  Check back over the ensuing weeks to download the second and first place primers.
